The Selection Process and The Committee

Each application and nomination will be reviewed by the National Induction Committee and voted on14 days prior too the announcement of inductions. Currently each nominee is evauluated based on a set of standards recognized as key componenets for this prestigous award. The factors that currently are evaluated are:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years in the diecast or automotive community
  • Have an outstanding reputation in the diecast community
  • The potential inductee must have made a significant contribution to the automotive and or diecast community in their specified category.
  • The inductee must receive 60% of the committee vote in order for approved induction.
  • In the event of a tie breaker, an approved neutral diecast manufacturer representative will be required to review the material and application, and submit their vote based on the information provided.

The selection committee has been assembled with the importance of fair, accurate and concise decision making and nomination. The individuals who have dedicated their time and effort to ensure this process continues to be reputable and fair, is a collaboration of well respected individuals in the diecast and automotive industry.   • Carson Lev - Former Hot Wheels designer and Vice President of Foose Designs
  • Chris Walker - Known as Nightstalker and in the customs community as one of the best all time
  • Bruce Pascal - Holds the Holy Grail of Hot Wheels and a Redlines Guru
  • Jeff Nelson - Sales Coordinator for GreenLight Collectibles
  • Tom Zahorsky - Senior Design Manager for RC2 Johnny Lightning
  • Bob Parker - Author and Diecast Historian
  • Luis Tanahara - Designer and Creator of Jada's Dub City Line
  • Joe Kelly Jr. - Host and Author of The Car Room Magazine
